The Allcheck Medical Clinic opened on July 14 at 223 N. Central Ave., Sidney (located at the east end of the Checkers Building).

They have three providers on the clinic staff. Carlos Trevino, MD, is originally from Texas and has worked in the medical field for over 30 years and primarily practices family medicine.
In September, Martha Nugent, APRN-CDP-AGNP-C (Adult Nurse Practitioner-Gerontology) was added to the medical clinic team. Martha became a registered nurse in 2011. She enjoyed caring for oncology patients in hospitals, and her specialty naturally became medical oncology. Martha then attended the medical branch of the University of Texas, Galveston, Texas, to earn a master’s degree in nursing. She became a Certified Adult Gerontologist Nurse Practitioner in April 2019. She moved to Sidney in January 2020 to work alongside Dr Chad Pedersen at Sidney Health Center – Cancer Care as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner where she treated patients. patients undergoing cancer treatment. Her areas of experience include oncology and radiology nursing, chemotherapy administration, wound care and patient education. She also ran the High Risk Breast Clinic, Lung Nodule Clinic and counseled patients before genetic testing.
Martha enjoys helping others, but there is a special place in her heart for the elderly. She recently became a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners Â®, so she can teach caregivers how to help loved ones with dementia.
Martha is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Montana State Oncology Society, and the Oncology Nursing Society. She frequently travels out of the region to educate her peers in Montana and Wyoming about the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines for tracking accidental lung nodules and the challenges of treating lung cancer in rural areas. .

Van was born in Vietnam and spent most of her teenage years in England before moving to the United States in the late 1990s.
Van attended South Bank University in England and received her BSc in Food Science in 1991. She then received her BSc in Biology from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2016 and graduated from her MA program. medical assistant at UT Southwestern Medical Center through February 2021. During her clinical rotations, she discovered a love for family medicine, which emphasizes the importance of nurturing a long working relationship. term between providers and their patients through the ages.
Van is a licensed medical assistant for the state of Montana, is a member of the Montana Academy of Physician Assistants, and also a member of the AAPA – American Academy of Physician Assistants and the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. She holds AHA Certification in Basic Life Support, Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Basic Disaster Life Support and American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry Medication – Assisted Treatment Online PA Waiver Training. She graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Van has two children, both grown up and living in California. When not working, she enjoys walking her dog, hiking, and staying in touch with family and friends. She also enjoys cooking, baking, knitting, painting and singing karaoke.
