Award presented in May to the Adrian College Student Medical Clinic

ADRIAN — The Adrian College Student Medical Clinic and its staff were honored this spring with an award from the State of Michigan.

The state award recognized the medical clinic, located on the Adrian College campus inside the medical clinic building, for “exemplary work ethic, unwavering commitment and dedication to service of the Adrian College community,” according to an Adrian College press release.

The medical clinic building is located between Arrington Ice Arena and Docking Stadium.

As part of the award, Lenawee County State Representative Bronna Kahle, R-Adrian, visited the medical clinic in May and delivered the state’s special tribute to medical clinic director Kelly Truchan , medical assistant Faith Neubig, administrative assistant Danielle Camera and board director. Truchan and his staff were commended for their great service and for always going above and beyond, according to the statement. The tribute was signed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II, Kahle and State Senator Dale Zorn, R-Onsted.

“During the 2021-22 academic year, staff at the Student Medical Clinic continued to make students the top priority amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The team is an exceptional and positive influence on campus,” Truchan said in the release.

Attendees were also welcomed by Adrian College President Jeffrey Docking, who underscored his support.

Also in attendance were Vice President of Enrollment and Student Affairs, Frank Hribar; vice president of business affairs, Jerry Wright; and Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs Andrea Milner, among many others who gathered to congratulate the winners.

The Adrian College Student Medical Clinic offers a range of services including COVID-19 testing, medical examinations, joint laboratory services, short-term prescriptions, flu shots and wellness education. be. The health center receives students for many illnesses such as colds and coughs, acute injuries, allergies, and general health issues. In addition to physical illness, the health center can also help with referrals to counseling services on campus, as well as off campus.

“The Student Medical Clinic will cherish this tribute and work diligently to continue to provide wonderful care to the community,” Truchan said.
