DIKHAN, (UrduPoint/Pakistan Point News – July 23, 2022): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Faisal Amin Khan Gandapur said on Saturday that due to the commitment of the Provincial Minister of Health, Taimu Khan Jhagra, Medical Teaching Institutions (MTIs) have improved their services a lot and are offering the best services across the province.
He said residents of Dera Ismail Khan and neighboring districts, including the newly merged areas of South Waziristan, FR Dera and FR Tank, are fully benefiting from these health services.
He appreciated the services of the field health personnel associated with these institutions and assured them of all possible cooperation in the discharge of their professional responsibilities.
He was talking to doctors and medical staff during surprise visits to various MTI centers in the district.
He expressed his satisfaction with the overall performance of these centers. The minister also listened to the complaints, suggestions and recommendations from health department officials to continue improving the health sector.
Appreciating their good intentions, he said their suggestions would be forwarded to the provincial cabinet.
He said that the government has taken multiple initiatives for the improvement of the health sector in DIKhan, including the establishment of a ward for women and children, the establishment of a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), l installation of the latest 32-slice CT machine, health card and Ehsaas Tahufaz program.
He said Dera Hospital was among the top 14 hospitals in the province.
