BELMONT – Remote Area Medical, a non-profit provider of pop-up medical clinics, will be relocating to Belmont next month to provide free care.
Clinic doors open at 6 a.m. on Saturday October 9 and again on Sunday October 10 at the Genesee Valley Central School campus. All RAM services are free and no ID is required. Free dental, ophthalmic and medical services will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
“Remote Area Medical is pleased to be able to provide free services to those in need in the Belmont community,” said Jeff Eastman, CEO of RAM. “It has been a difficult time and access to health care is more important than ever. Thank you to all the volunteers who come to help those in need.
The patient car park will open no later than midnight Saturday and will remain open. When patients arrive at the parking lot, they will be provided with additional information regarding the clinic opening processes and next steps. Patients should be prepared with their own food, water, medicine, and clothing when they arrive early. Bathrooms will be provided.
Services available at the clinic will include dental cleanings, dental fillings, tooth extractions, dental x-rays, eye exams, glaucoma tests, eyeglass prescriptions, on-site glasses, patient health exams. women, flu shots, comprehensive laboratory services including free blood labor and general medicine exams.

Due to time constraints, patients must be prepared to choose between dental and visual services. Free medical services are offered in addition to dental or visual services to each patient attending the clinic. RAM encourages anyone who wants services, especially dental services, to arrive as soon as possible.
In response to COVID-19, RAM has developed and integrated new disinfection and security processes. All patients will be required to wear a face covering and will need to be screened for COVID-19 before entering the clinic.
