Kaiser Permanente Napa Solano, first established in Vallejo in 1945, has grown steadily to serve nearly 312,000 members, covering an area stretching from the Carquinez Bridge north to Vacaville and Dixon, across the Napa Valley to Calistoga and to Benicia.

The Leapfrog Group awarded Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers in Vacaville and Vallejo the top grade of “A” in its biannual Hospital Safety Ratings Report, which reviewed and rated nearly 3,000 hospitals across the United States. Vacaville and Vallejo Medical Centers are among 20 Kaiser Permanente hospitals in Northern California that have received the Get With The Guidelines-Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award and the Get With The Guidelines-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award and the Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus Award. Newsweek magazine’s “Best Maternity Hospitals 2020” report included medical centers in Vacaville and Vallejo as excellent places to receive maternity care.

Vallejo is also home to the Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center. For more than 60 years, the center’s dedicated physicians, specialists and staff have treated people with disabling conditions such as strokes and brain or spinal cord injuries. More than 100,000 patients and their families and caregivers have benefited from the centre’s care.

Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center is Solano County’s designated Level II Trauma Center, open to all, providing a high level of emergency care to critically injured patients. And last year. Kaiser Permanente Northern California has invested $5 million to support the equitable deployment of the Covid-19 vaccine in the communities it serves. In the Napa-Solano service area, a total of $345,000 in grant funds supported immunization efforts with several nonprofit organizations.
