Liberty University opens new pediatric and young adult medical clinic to serve central VA employees and families

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Liberty University has announced the opening of a new pediatric and young adult medical clinic on Lakeside Drive in Lynchburg.

The university along with Liberty Mountain Medical Group (LMMG) and Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine (LUCOM) have opened this new medical practice specifically designed to meet the needs of Liberty employees.

Liberty employees who are eligible for the university’s Direct Primary Care program as part of their insurance plan will benefit from this new option that will reduce costs and provide consistent excellent care for children and young adults.

The clinic is staffed by pediatricians certified by the LMMG board of directors with expertise in pediatric and young adult medicine.

Liberty University says the new practice will also improve active learning opportunities and community clinical experiences for osteopathic medicine students at the university.

LUCOM’s third and fourth year students will work in teams led by clinical faculty physicians.
