A distinct buzz of excitement was palpable throughout the Montage Laguna Beach on April 30, 2022, and for good reason: Guests were thrilled to return to the MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center Foundation Spring Gala after three years. The black tie evening raised more than $682,000, the highest amount ever raised at this event, to benefit the Women’s Health Pavilion and MemorialCare Breast Center at Saddleback Medical Center.

Guests included community philanthropists and supporters; physicians and management staff at Saddleback Medical Center; as well as sponsor representatives, including presenting sponsor American Career College and West Coast University.

With clear skies as a backdrop, the gala kicked off with a cocktail reception held on the main lawn overlooking the scenic Pacific Ocean. After the cocktail party, the more than 400 guests in dresses and tuxedos made their way to the Main Ballroom, decorated in marble, teal and gold accents. The decor was intended to create a spirit of renewal and new beginnings.

The evening program began with a welcome from Christy Ward, president of the MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center Foundation.

“We knew everyone was ready to be at the gala, but you exceeded our expectations,” Ward said. “Your donations make a difference not only in providing excellent care, but also the finest, most personalized and compassionate patient care. »

MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center CEO Marcia Manker presented the vision for the cause of the night, the new Women’s Health Pavilion and MemorialCare Breast Center at Saddleback Medical Center, which breaks new ground this summer.

“We have a plan to transform the future of healthcare for women at every stage of life, and with the help of people in the community like you, that vision will soon become a reality,” Manker said.
