“We are pleased to provide high quality health care services to residents of the Canaan Valley as well as visitors to the Tucker County area,” said Paul Wamsley, CEO of St. George Medical Clinic. “At St. George’s Medical Clinic, we recognize the importance of supporting a growing community by providing convenient access to primary and comprehensive medical services close to home.”

“The opening celebration is an opportunity for business leaders and guests to tour our new facility,” said Wamsley. “By opening a new location, we hope to improve the health of individuals and families and raise awareness of the importance of routine checkups and preventive health care services.

Health care services provided at the Canaan Valley location include routine and preventive health care, immunizations, behavioral health services, radiology, phlebotomy, and pharmacy services (340b). Patients also have access to drive-thru pharmacy services located at the clinic.

“St. George Medical Clinic staff have worked hard to develop strong relationships with other healthcare facilities to bring medical services to the Canaan Valley region that would otherwise not be available,” said Wamsley. “We hope to expand in the future as we see an increased need for additional services.”

Appointments at St. George Canaan Valley Clinic and prescriptions at St. George Canaan Valley Pharmacy are covered by most insurance. As a federally licensed health center, St. George’s Medical Clinic offers a variable fee (financial assistance) discount program for uninsured or underinsured patients.

“The Rolling Fee Reduction Program allows St. George Canaan Valley Clinic to waive or reduce fees for its medical services,” said Wamsley. “We will never turn away a patient because of their inability to pay.”
